Inlandet police district is investigating an incident where a woman in her 30s was found dead in a hotel room in Lillehammer on the night of Sunday.
The police announced this in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
– Two men in their 30s were arrested and charged with leaving the woman in a helpless state. Both those arrested have now been released, but the charge has been upheld, says police attorney Mari Jøndal Bjertnæs.
The accused live in Vestoppland. They are known to the police from the past, have previously been punished and are part of a drug environment.
The deceased was part of the circle of acquaintances of the accused. The police were notified of the death via AMK at 04.08 on the night of Sunday. CPR was attempted, but it was not possible to save the woman.
The deceased has requested an autopsy, and the next of kin have been notified.
