A 44-year-old woman escaped from a police station in Eindhoven on Tuesday afternoon. The police are investigating how this could have happened.
The woman is suspected of a drug offense and was therefore taken into custody, the East Brabant police reported on
The suspect is a short, blonde woman who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and flip-flops as she fled the police station, police say. She is not known for being violent.
It is not clear whether the woman escaped from a cell or managed to escape the attention of her guards elsewhere in the police station. A police spokesperson was unable or unwilling to say how it could have happened. According to him, that is still being investigated.
