NICOLÁS ROMERO
Two adults and three minors were murdered inside a house in the El Gavillero neighborhood in the municipality of Nicolás Romero.
It was reported that, on attending to an emergency call, the Nicolás Romero Municipal Police found five lifeless women inside his home.
In a statement, the municipal government reported that according to preliminary reports, the murder could be a settling of accounts, as it is presumed weapons of exclusive use of the Army were used and inside the house there was a cardboard with a “message that points to a settling of accounts”, he added.
The mayor of Nicolás Romero, Armando Navarrete, condemned the events and reported that he is awaiting official information from the Mexican Prosecutor and the National Guard about the lines of investigation.
He assured that both he and the elements of the local police are fully available to help with the investigative work carried out by the State Prosecutor’s Office, in order to clarify what happened.
The Prosecutor General’s Office indicated that investigations are being carried out to clarify the death of the two adults and the three minors whose bodies were left inside the home.
