Ali Al-Sharaie, Chairman of the Security Public Relations Committee of the Musical Professions Syndicate and a member of the Syndicate’s Board of Directors, issued a press statement authorizing Cassation Attorney Yasser Kantoush to submit a report to the office of His Excellency the Public Prosecutor regarding the death of the late musician Hilmi Bakr.

The statement said: “In light of the news circulating about the death of musician Helmi Bakr, as the deceased was a working association member in the Music Syndicate, in addition to being a great artistic value.”

He continued: “Out of concern for the Syndicate’s concern for its members, and based on the appeals of the General Assembly of the Musicians Syndicate, I, Ali Al-Sharaie, have been authorized by the Board of Directors to take legal measures regarding what happened with the late musician, as the Syndicate’s mandate includes protecting its members.”

The statement continued: “Based on the authorization issued by the Board of Directors of the Musical Professions Syndicate to me in my capacity as Chairman of the Syndicate’s Security Public Relations Committee, regarding verifying the validity of what is being said about the death of the late musician Hilmi Bakr and the confusion that is being raised about whether there is a criminal suspicion or not.”

The statement explained: “This is based on the union’s commitment to preserving the rights and reputation of its members, especially since the deceased had an artistic history and a heritage of authentic art. I call upon the fans of the late musician to provide whatever information they have regarding this incident to the officials in the union or submit it to the investigation authorities in order to help.” In revealing the truth.”

The statement concluded: “In the end, I can only send my sincere condolences and sympathy to our deceased and the loss of Egyptian art. We pray to the Almighty God to cover him with his mercy, and we ask ourselves, his great fans, and his family for patience and solace.”

It is noteworthy that Helmy Bakr passed away on March 1, at the age of 87, after a long struggle with illness.
