National Police Commissioner also overseeing the investigation into the death of Brigadier Setyo Herlambang, personal bodyguard (walpri) of North Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, at his official residence. Kompolnas said Inspector General Daniel was in Jakarta when the incident occurred.
“Thursday 21 and Friday 22 September, the Regional Police Chief still had activities in Jakarta, on Friday afternoon there was an incident where Brigpol Setyo Herlambang died,” said Kompolnas Commissioner Poengky Indarti to detikcomThursday (28/9/2023).
Then, said Poengky, Inspector General Daniel the next day immediately flew to Semarang to pay tribute to the grave of Brigadier Setyo.
“Saturday 23 September, the Regional Police Chief went to Semarang to pay tribute to the family of the late Brigadier Setyo Herlambang,” he said.
Brigpol Setyo was found dead covered in blood in his official residence room at around 13.10 WITA. He was shot by an HS-9 type rifle with the rifle number HS178837 which was located next to his body at that time.
For information, the National Police Headquarters has deployed Propam and Bareskrim to provide assistance in uncovering the death case of Brigpol Setyo Herlambang.
The Bareskrim team also carried out a re-investigation of the crime scene on Tuesday (26/9). Even so, the Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, has not detailed what new facts have been discovered from the crime scene investigation.
Furthermore, Sandi hopes that the team from Bareskrim will immediately reveal what happened. Apart from that, according to Sandi, Propam Police Headquarters was dispatched to investigate the case.
“Regarding the progress of the investigation, it will be released specifically after the assistance team has finished in order to complete joint investigation activities with the North Kalimantan Regional Police,” he added.
“So that we can get a complete conclusion by making a conclusion later from the results of scientific evidence that has been carried out,” concluded Sandi.
