A man South Korean citizen secured in the apartment unit at the initial location of the West Jakarta Immigration officer, Tri Fattah Firdaus, died falling from the 19th floor. The Korean citizen has now been named a suspect.
“Yes (he is a suspect),” said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Samian when contacted detikcomMonday (30/10/2023).
Samian said the Korean citizen had also been detained. This Korean citizen was detained in a case of threatening security officers.
“Meanwhile, Korean citizens are being detained related to cases of unpleasant acts with threats of violence,” he added.
Murder Suspected Investigated
Polda Metro Jaya is still investigating the case of the death of Tri Fattah Firdaus (23), a West Jakarta Immigration Rudenim officer who fell from the 19th floor of an apartment in Ciledug, Tangerang. The police are currently investigating suspected murder in that case.
“So we are currently carrying out an investigation, looking more deeply into the alleged murder,” said Samian.
Meanwhile, the police have now secured a Korean citizen who was in the apartment unit at the crime scene where the victim first fell. The police will raise the status of the case to investigation if it is discovered that the Korean citizen is related to the victim’s death.
“If there are facts, we will immediately take them into the investigation process. Yes, they know each other,” explained Samian.
As is known, Polda Metro Jaya examined 10 witnesses regarding the West Jakarta Immigration officer, Tri Fattah Firdaus (23), who fell to death from the 19th floor of an apartment in Tangerang. Polda said the witness being questioned had knowledge of the incident.
Samian explained that the witnesses examined consisted of apartment security, technicians, and the victim’s family.
“From the security at the location, there are technicians, and there are also members of the victim’s family,” explained Samian.
The death of West Jakarta Immigration officer, Tri Fattah Firdaus (23), occurred on Friday (27/10), at around 03.00 WIB. What caused the victim’s death is still a mystery.
The Korean citizen was taken into custody from apartment unit 1919. The Korean citizen was the last person with the victim in the apartment.
The Korean citizen had locked himself in the room shortly after the victim fell. Security officers who wanted to secure the victim were threatened with knives and hot water.
