Police are still investigating themed activitiesMetamorfoshow‘ at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) which is widely associated with the banned organization Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). The police have also investigated the organizers.
“Yes, last Friday. We weren’t questioned, but confirmation information was taken,” said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when contacted, Sunday (25/2/2024).
From the results of the investigation, the organizers said they applied for an event permit to the Cipayung Police for the Isra Mikraj event. They also admitted that there were no attributes or symbols of the HTI organization during the series of events.

“In essence, this activity does not use attributes or symbols of organizations prohibited in Indonesia. They asked for permission to carry out activities to commemorate Isra Mikraj,” he said.
However, until now the police together with TMII are still investigating the case. His party is also exploring the possibility of doctrinalization of participants in events such as those widely discussed on social media.
“So far it is still under investigation,” he added.
As is known, HTI itself was officially disbanded and banned on July 19 2017. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) stated that HTI was disbanded.
The government has issued Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2/2017 concerning Community Organizations (Ormas). The Perppu regulates the dissolution of mass organizations deemed to be in conflict with Pancasila.
In the explanation of Perppu Number 2 of 2017 which is the basis for the revocation of the HTI legal entity, it is stated that the revocation of the legal entity means the dissolution of the mass organization. This refers to Article 61 paragraph 1 letter c and paragraph 3 letter b.
