Investigation begins for alleged death threat against Sheinbaum

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJ-CDMX) initiated an investigation folder for a alleged death threat against the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, which according to an anonymous complaint, would take place the night of this September 15.

After receiving the complaint by telephone, elements of the Investigative Police (PDI) and an elite group of the Secretariat of Citizen Security carried out an inspection in the area where the aggressor allegedly lives; They checked surveillance cameras of the C-5 and found no indication of who would attack the head of government, but reinforced security throughout the area.

According to the case file, on September 13, an operator of the emergency number, with code C50890508, received a call from a woman who assured that in the streets of the Condesa neighborhood there is a man, who identifies himself as “Neri”, that he possesses “firearms (AK-47, R15, Colt 45, Pietro Beretta nine millimeters, 357 Magnum and 2.23 bullets)”.

In the anonymous call, he assured that the alleged suspect sells weapons to minors. “Neri has a vehicle with the letterhead of the Private Security Intelligence company in Private Security”, reads the document to which THE UNIVERSAL had access.

According to the complainant, “the subject (Neri) commented that they would execute the Head of Government, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, on September 15.”

In addition, it indicates that it will report the events on social networks and with the journalist Óscar Mario Beteta, so that once the head of government is executed, they will pass on their call.

After that, and given the vulnerability of the first-level local officials and with the antecedent of the attack suffered by the Chief of Police, Omar García Harfuch, the corresponding precautions were taken, but for the moment, they have not found any evidence that it could be perpetrated. the attempt.
