Police are investigating a death in the center of Halden on Monday night. One person has been arrested in the case.

– One person has been confirmed dead. One person has been arrested, says operations manager Finn Håvard Aas in the Eastern police district to VG at 23.50 on Monday night.
The police state that they were notified of an injured person at an address at 22.05. The emergency services took to the scene, and health personnel tried life-saving health care. The person is confirmed dead.
– An investigation has been initiated, says operations manager Aas.
– Do you suspect murder?
– We’re investigating this. A person with external injuries was found dead. Whether it is a murder is too early to say.
The incident that the emergency services moved out to must have happened indoors, the operations manager states.
– The person who was arrested was arrested at the address.
The police state that the person in question was first taken to the emergency room and will proceed for questioning.
He says that at present they do not disclose the gender and age of those involved.
Earlier in the evening reported Halden Arbeiderblad that there was a large police operation in the center of Halden.
According to the newspaper, there were several police cars and ambulances on site. In the pictures you can see several people in all-white suits outside a building.
