Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage in connection with the case pulls mine IKA Unhas Sulsel who sustained a fatality. There are 5 video surveillance points which are currently being investigated by the police to determine the cause of the accident.
Kapolrestabes Makassar Kombes Budi Haryanto said CCTV was one of the evidence used as material for the police investigation. In addition, the police also secured the rope used during the event.
“Evidence related to CCTV, yes we have secured the CCTV and the rope used,” Budi told reporters at the Makassar police headquarters, reportedly detikSulselMonday (20/12/2022).
Police had earlier secured CCTV footage relating to the deadly tug of war. Budi said a total of five CCTV spots were secured as evidence.
“(CCTV footage reviewed by police) five points,” Budi said.
The IKA Unhas Sulsel tug of war event became a mystery after the rope suddenly snapped violently resulting in the death of a resident named Masyita (43). The seconds the rope jerked were also recorded by CCTV.
