Authorities are searching for the suspect or suspects in the murder of a 15-year-old boy in Jersey City, New Jersey, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the event occurred on Saturday, February 12, at about 8:20 pm, when the authorities responded to the area of 112 Myrtle Avenue after receiving reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival they found the minor, identified as 15-year-old Devin Bryant, with a gunshot wound to the torso. The teen was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death.
So far no arrests have been reported.
The Hudson County District Attorney’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with the assistance of the Jersey City Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to leave an anonymous notice on the official website of the Hudson County District Attorney here.
