A 35-year-old man is being investigated for reckless driving and a possible crime against traffic after the Civil Guard proceeded to his arrest in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on August 17.
The events prosecuted occurred when the man, who the SER has learned is a career military man, made an overtaking that forced the rest of the drivers to carry out dangerous maneuvers.
According to the first report on road safety crimes and their incidence in the prison environment of the Ministry of the Interior, a total of 75 canaries spend their sentence in prison for having committed a crime against road safety. The province of Las Palmas has 45 cases, being the seventh province with the highest number of convicted for this reason, while Tenerife adds a total of 30 cases.
