Invasion of Ukraine – Russia vetoed UN resolution to end the war

According to the voting results, 11 member countries of the Security Council supported the adoption of the resolution, one country opposed, three countries, including China, abstained from voting.

“The draft resolution is not adopted because a permanent member of the Security Council voted against it,” said Vasily Nebenzya, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN.
