Coritiba and Cruzeiro fans invade the field during the match

The invasion of the pitch occurred shortly after Coritiba’s goal, in the 45th minute of the second half. Cruzeiro fans invaded the field. Players from both teams went to the locker rooms. Soon after, Coritiba fans left the stands and also entered. The field was the scene of a fight.

With the players in the locker rooms, the referee began receiving instructions from the Military Police for everyone’s safety. The procedures for resuming the game began to be taken.

According to the summary, organized Cruzeiro fans were taken to the exit from Curitiba. Coritiba organized members were escorted to their headquarters.

With the release of the Military Police, Bráulio da Silva Machado then decides to restart the game and play the remaining six minutes.

“After the requested time, the commander informed us that security had been fully reestablished, that there was no damage to the fences, and also placed a “cordon of police officers around the pitch”, thus guaranteeing total security for the match to resume.
