On September 7, 2023, four individuals entered the Gaston Darboux vocational high school. A professor in particular had been threatened. The teaching staff exercised their right of withdrawal the next day.
Two young adults were referred to the Nîmes public prosecutor’s office this Thursday, October 5, as part of the intrusion into the Darboux high school, an establishment with 750 students in the vocational sector in the so-called republican reconquest district of Pissevin.
On September 7, four individuals climbed over the gates, before one of them was intercepted by a professor whom he had then threatened, before struggling and fleeing.
Outside the establishment, six or seven young people verbally attacked the same teacher, as well as a high school student, and threatened to return there to settle scores.
Preliminary investigation
Identified thanks to video surveillance, the young man aged 18 on the run was arrested on September 28 at his home, before being placed in police custody. He admitted the facts and finally came out free during the preliminary investigation.
This Thursday morning, October 5, this individual and another adult were referred to the Nîmes public prosecutor’s office for “threat of crime or misdemeanor against a person responsible for a public service mission”.
