On December 25, 2021, a man armed with a crossbow was arrested at Windsor Castle. He is said to have had the goal of murdering Queen Elizabeth II (96).
This was suggested by a video clip that the perpetrator had uploaded to Snapchat shortly beforehand. Now the 20-year-old from Southampton was charged on Tuesday (2 August), police said.
