For the first time since the signing of the Mar Mikhael agreement between Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement, this violent debate between the two parties to the agreement has broken out. After the conference of the head of the movement, Gebran Bassil, in which he poured out all his accusations against the party, the party responded today with a statement in which he used sharp and high-sounding expressions and terminology, and among his statements:
“The truthful have not broken a promise, and it may be that Minister Bassil confused the matter, so he made a mistake when he accused the truthful of what they did not do.”
The harshness of the statement reaches when he says: “The haste of some current circles to use the language of betrayal, betrayal and disavowal, especially among friends, is unwise and inappropriate behavior.”
Perhaps it is one of the rare times that Hezbollah reaches this level of intensity, especially with the current, so how will its leader, Gebran Bassil, act? Do you mind the escalation? Or did he start worshiping the “line of return” through his meeting with Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah on the sidelines of today’s parliamentary session?
The following days will give answers to these questions.
And this evening the movement responded to Hezbollah, and saw that what was stated in the Hezbollah media relations statement is very ambiguous and carries with it a contradiction, between the concern for the unanimity of the government components in making decisions while this one does not apply to participate in the sessions, and if there is no consensus among those present, then how to make decisions?!
And the answer concludes: “The head of the movement will talk about all these mistakes, and his words will be more explanatory and clarified about the enormity of what happened in his media interview on Sunday evening at the LBCI station.
In today’s political turmoil, President Nabih Berri launched the “hare of dialogue” at the end of the session and invited the blocs to give him answers on their position on dialogue before next Thursday’s session, the last one this year . The information indicates that President Berri awaits the answers from the blocs next Tuesday, eight days before the 40-hour mark from the tenth session, therefore Thursday’s session will be a dialogue, not an election.
As regards today’s sitting, Michel Moawad’s votes are equal to those of the White Paper, and the even number is thirty-nine votes.
Governmentally, President Najib Mikati, and after completing the session on “decisions of necessity”, went to Saudi Arabia to participate in the Arab-Chinese summit that the Kingdom will host tomorrow. It was noted that the delegation included Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib, who boycotted the cabinet session, the delegation also included Minister King George Bushkian and Finance Minister Youssef Khalil.
The beginning of the bunny dialogue.
