IceWhale Tech, a Chinese company that releases the single-board computer ZimaBoard, has started crowdfunding for a new 6-bay NAS called ZimaCube.
There are two types of CPU: Intel N100 or 12th generation Core i5-1235U.
It has six hard disk drives, up to four 2.5GbE Ethernet ports, and up to 64GB RAM.
The lowest price is 74,540 yen for the N100 version and 134,285 yen for the Core i5 version.
4 cores 4 threads 6wTDP and 10 cores 12 threads 15wTDP respectively.
RAM is up to 32GB for the N100 version and 64GB for the Core i5 version. Storage consists of six SATA III bays, all compatible with 2.5 inches/3.5 inches, and two M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe slots.
The PCIe slot is Gen3 x4 for the N100 version, Gen4 x16 for the Core i5 version, and Gen4 x4.
USB is USB3.0 Gen1 Type-C, USB3.0 Gen1 Type-A x4, USB2.0 Type-A x2, Core i5 version is Thunderbolt4 x2, USB3.0 Gen1 Type-A x6.
The video output is HDMI2.0 and DP1.4 in common, and the OS is ZimaOS for NAS operation.
The size is 240x221x220mm and the weight is 5.4kg. Built-in active cooling fan for cooling.
