What is WhatsApp Companion Mode?
For now, if you want to use WhatsApp on multiple devices, you have to go through a somewhat complex process. Once the application has been downloaded, you can link it to a smartphone, tablet or PC using a QR Code, accessible from your main device. It must remain connected to the Internet, and despite all this, the application is not automatically synchronized between the different media.

Companion Mode brings a few changes to all of that. Overall, the connection mode remains the same, the major difference lies in the instant synchronization of conversations and calls on the different instances of the application. It will therefore be possible to use Meta messaging on several smartphones, PCs and tablets with ease.
A feature spotted since November 2022
Does this feature sound familiar? It’s normal, WhatsApp has introduced it to the test and beta program since November 2022, according to the first sightings made by WABetaInfo. Since then, it has been gradually deployed to all participants in the Android beta program and should benefit from an expanded deployment for version v2.23.8.2b of the application.
Important to note however, it is only intended for users of the Android ecosystem for the moment. For iPhone users and other Apple devices, you have to go through the DPI bypass version of the screen. But don’t worry, the feature should arrive quickly on the devices of the Cupertino company in the coming months.
Well, if not, among the new features of WhatsApp, know that the application has recently modernized its interface, drawing great inspiration from Apple design. We’ll let you make up your own mind about the new Meta messaging visuals!
