Xiaomi introduced its new Band 8 Pro connected bracelet, which looks very similar to the Apple Watch. Instead of the oval design as in previous generations, the bracelet takes on a square shape.
Several months after the launch of the Xiaomi Band 8, the Chinese manufacturer has returned to a new “Pro” version with improved specifications. The latter will be the direct successor to the Band 7 Pro, and it uses the same rectangular shape, but with a larger screen.
Xiaomi this time in the Band 8 Pro bracelet adopts a 1.74-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 480 x 336 pixels and a resolution of 336 pixels. The screen offers a 60Hz refresh rate as well as a brightness of 600cd/m2, which is enough to make it readable even in broad daylight.

The Band 8 Pro is similar to the Apple Watch
With its square design, the Band 8 Pro looks like a connected Apple Watch. Xiaomi offers a variety of rubber straps in several colors, but also straps made of fabric and leather. Customization is in the spotlight this generation, as the Chinese manufacturer offers more than 1,000 different tweaks in the interface.
Xiaomi also announced during its conference that it had improved the accuracy of the heart sensor by 10%, and the accuracy of the menstrual cycle monitor by 5%. It may not seem like much, but any improvement is welcome. Finally, note that the thickness of the dial is 9.9 mm and the watch weighs only 22.5 grams. You can also count on the 50m water resistance.
At the moment, the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro has only been unveiled in China, but it should soon arrive in the rest of the countries.
