The Lexus LS is considered a luxury car with a long history of excellent performance and elegant design. The current generation of the LS was introduced in 2018, and the design has remained almost unchanged since then. Today the company revealed the 2024 model of the car, which received an update to the infotainment system. To keep pace with the latest technologies and provide a unique experience for the driver and passengers, the new system features a modern and easy-to-use user interface, allowing the driver to quickly access various tasks and features with ease. In addition to the updates in the user interface, the infotainment system has been provided with a variety of new features.
New updates in Lexus LS 2024
Lexus has updated the infotainment system in its LS 2024, adding some new features for a more advanced driving experience. The updates included adding features such as voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, while removing the Remote Touch Interface control panel for the 12.3-inch infotainment system. In addition to a head-up display and digital key fob connectivity, both the LS 500 and LS 500h are also equipped with a wireless charger for mobile phones as standard.
Standard equipment on the Lexus LS 500
LS 500 models come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes a host of driver-assistance features, such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.
The system also includes a proactive driving assistance feature, which uses steering and braking inputs to help maintain a safe distance from surrounding cars. The system also features an emergency stop feature, where the car automatically slows and stops if the driver is unable to react in time.
Standard equipment on the Lexus LS 500h
LS 500h models come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which offers a range of driver aids, however they can also be equipped with the hands-free driver assistance system known as Lexus Teammate, which was introduced in 2022.
The Lexus Teammate system is distinguished by its ability to manage acceleration, steering and braking while driving on single-lane highways. The system can also implement lane changes and navigate at some intersections and traffic congestions.
The power system in the 2024 Lexus LS
The power system in the 2024 Lexus LS has not been updated, whether in the internal combustion version or the hybrid version. It is worth noting that the combustion version is offered in the UAE with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine capable of generating power of up to 416 horsepower, with 612 Newton meters of torque. The engine is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the hybrid version is also offered with a 3.5-liter multi-stage hybrid engine capable of generating power of up to 354 horsepower with 375 Newton meters of torque.
