Introducing the Retro Gamer’s Dream: Mega’s ‘Do-It-Yourself’ Xbox 360

While LEGO is by far the largest brand when it comes to toy building blocks, there are actually quite a few alternatives. Most of them are pretty bad, though, with one exception, Mega (formerly Mega Blocks).

They’ve now announced something that retro gamers might like, a “do-it-yourself” Xbox 360. It’s made the same way as the LEGO versions for the Atari 2600 and NES, and in addition to looking great, has a few cool Easter egg features. This includes lights (console and controller), a disc drive where you can place Halo 3 discs to unlock new features, battery slots on the controller, and even“Removable hard drive and side case panels to reveal interactive interior”.

The complete set is made of 1,342 pieces and sells for $149.99.There is a small problem though, as it is specifically for the USTargetMade in Europe so getting it at a reasonable price can be a bit tricky.

We can at least check out this wonderful setup in a brief X video and some images below.
