At the end of June, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 12R smartphone. Almost two months later, the company introduced a cheaper model. She received the name Redmi 12R.
What is known
The smartphone is equipped with a Full HD+ LCD (2460 x 1080 pixels). The IPS matrix has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a peak brightness of 550 nits, and the diagonal is 6.79 inches.
Redmi 12R received a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 + processor. The 4nm chipset has a CPU up to 2.2GHz, Adreno 613 graphics, a 5G modem and is complemented by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 128 GB, and the battery capacity is 5000 mAh.
The main camera with a resolution of 50 MP is installed at the back. For selfies, a 5-megapixel front module is provided. Redmi 12R also received a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 water resistance, an infrared port, a headphone jack and 18W fast charging.
Price and when to expect
The smartphone is available for order in China. The cost was $135. Redmi 12R runs on Android 13 operating system, updated with MIUI 14 firmware.
