Microsoftannounced the 14.4-inch high-performance 2in1 “Surface Laptop Studio 2” on the 21st (US time). It is already available for pre-order in Japan through direct sales, and will be released on October 3rd, with prices starting at 336,380 yen.
In addition to the latest Core i7-13700H, it can be equipped with NVIDIA’s discrete GPU, resulting in twice the CPU and GPU performance compared to the previous model. Aimed at gamers, designers, developers and more, the company describes it as the most powerful Surface device ever.
As for GPU, in addition to GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop and 4060 Laptop, you can also choose NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada for professionals. It also features a 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen that supports up to 120Hz display and HDR, and quad Omnisonic speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
In addition to a powerful CPU and GPU, it also has a built-in Intel NPU “Movidius 3700VC VPU”, and is also characterized by the ability to use Windows Studio Effects. It is also equipped with a Precision Haptic touchpad that is highly accurate, comfortable, and provides an excellent click feel across the entire touchpad.
