Without going into spoilers for those who haven’t played Starfield yet, there is a quest related to the temples in the main storyline. In the first temple there is a kind of puzzle that takes a few minutes to solve, and at the end a pleasant reward awaits you.
But the fact is that there are 24 temple tasks, and they are all 100% identical. The puzzle, which cannot even be called a puzzle, never changes. The temple and its contents were stupidly copied to different planets, which turns them into a mindless, time-consuming routine.
But now this activity is over forever, thanks to modder johndoebowler, who created a mod called No More Temple “Puzzles”. Now you just go to each temple, wait a few seconds, get your reward and leave. You can download the modification for free from our website.
If you really want to collect all the temple rewards, you’ll need to complete Starfield 10 times with New Game+, which means you’ll have to complete a total of 240 temples to get the maximum rewards. Doing the same thing 240 times until you get tired of it the second time?
So this mod will be a real boon for many players, although, unfortunately, you still need to get to the temples, which in itself is boring. For the uninitiated, the whole process goes like this: A character tells you the location of the temple, you fly to the moon or planet, land, and then run along the surface of the planet for about 800-1200 meters until you reach the temple. If you’re lucky, the temple’s front door will be right in front of you, but usually you’ll have to circle around a bit to find it, usually over rough terrain and temple walls – another nuisance. You then find yourself in a temple, solving a “puzzle” that involves using boosters to fly in zero gravity through a bunch of sparkling lights. Then you wait for the rotating mechanism to stop spinning, fly into it, exit the temple, and then fight the dude who is always waiting for you right at the exit.
At least now part of the puzzle is out of the way and you won’t have to run around trying to stay awake. After installing the mod, a mechanism appears on the screen that begins to rotate, and you simply wait a few seconds for it to stop and enter it.
