On Thursday, August 10, in the premises of “LED Unit studio” in Riga, the presentation of the new “Porsche Cayenne” model in Latvia was held with an impressive video projection show for the media, customers and cooperation partners. In Latvia, the new “Porsche Cayenne” will cost from 91 thousand euros, and the “Coupe” modification – from 95 thousand euros.
The new “Porsche Cayenne” is essentially a significantly improved third-generation model with comprehensive changes to the drive system, chassis, design and equipment, providing a new driving experience for both the driver and passengers. With its widely modernized design and more powerful engine range, “Cayenne” emphasizes the desire to be the sportiest car in its segment.
“Porsche” has integrated a fully transparent display and control concept in the new “Cayenne”. The new “Porsche Driver Experience”, first introduced in the Porsche Taycan, focuses on the driver and optimizes the driving control of the car. Namely, all functions frequently used by the driver are located directly on the steering wheel or next to it.
For the first time in the Cayenne, the redesigned cabin features a fully digital 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster. An advanced projection (head-up) display is available as an option. The standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication System (PCM) display in the new panel provides access to all the most important car functions. Cayenne also provides optimized connectivity with integrated apps such as Spotify and Apple Music.
For the first time, a 10.9-inch display on the passenger side is integrated into the additional equipment of the Porsche Cayenne. It provides access to Porsche’s infotainment control system and also lets you stream video while driving. Its special coating ensures that the information on the screen is not visible to the driver and does not distract from the road.
The new “Cayenne” now has curved body wings, a new engine cover and expressive headlights. Three-dimensionally designed rear lights, austere surfaces and a new lower bumper with an integrated license plate holder characterize the rear appearance of the Cayenne.
Matrix LED headlights are now standard on the new Cayenne, while HD Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. With two high-resolution modules, their innovative technology recognizes other cars and blocks the high beam to prevent them from being blinded. Customized lighting modes increase safety and comfort in various driving situations.
In the basic version, the new “Porsche Cayenne” will be equipped with a three-liter V6 turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 353 horsepower. This same engine is also used as a basis for the hybrid modification, which also has a 176 hp electric motor and a 25.9 kWh battery. The total power of the hybrid reaches 470 hp, but with only electricity the local can drive up to 90 km without recharging.
On the other hand, in the “Cayenne S” version, the previous six-cylinder engine has been replaced by a four-liter V8 engine that develops 474 hp. “Cayenne S” can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 273 km/h.
