Introducing the New Fichtl: A Modern Twist on Affordable Mobility

The new “Parisian” is here, returning to the roots of affordable mobility for everyone! Whether you’re from the city or the village, the new fichtl will do just as well on the luxurious boulevard as on the dusty road leading to the former JZD.

The new fichtl will bring joy in the city and in the countryside.

The one-seater machine with a softened seat referring to the “Stump” received a brand new body, but the graceful shapes of the pincushion were preserved and still faithfully refer to the original from the 1950s. You don’t have to worry about the color, because at first only Javanese red will be offered, which will later be supplemented by dark black and elephant white.

In the interests of safety and regulations, the motorcycle received disc brakes with ABS, LED turn signals, a comfortable telescopic fork and two types of front lighting. First, it is a classic diffused lamp, while the De Luxe version will offer point diode lighting with divided low beam and main beam.

The model will offer two types of lighting.

The instrument panel is fully digital in both variants, but very simple. In addition to speed and revolutions, it can display only a few basic driving data. The stylish rear-view mirrors, which are heated in the De Luxe version, are worth mentioning.

The rear part is sprung with shock absorbers and coil springs, while on the fender itself you will find the LED end light and blinkers.

The rear light is also LED, as are the blinkers.

The driving heart of the basic model is a four-stroke single cylinder with a volume of 49 cc, which produces a power of 2 kW (2.7 hp) at 7500 revolutions per minute. The consumption then amounts to approximately 1.2 liters per hundred, the weight of the whole is less than 70 kg and the load capacity up to 150 kg. Thanks to the installation of an automatic transmission and a speed limit of up to 45 km/h, even a 15-year-old AM license holder can drive this vehicle.

However, Jawa was also aware of more demanding clientele, so it prepared a variant with a volume of 124.8 cc and a power of 9 kW (12.2 horses), which consumes only 1.9 liters per hundred kilometers. The fuel tank of the more powerful model equipped with an automatic transmission can hold 7.9 liters of gasoline, but the weight of the unit will increase to 90 kg.

The modern Jawa “Stump” comes with two engines.

The exhaust system was developed by Jawa in cooperation with the Slovenian company Akrapovič, of course, not with the goal of maximum noise, but to tune the sound so that the model resembles the work of the original two-stroke single cylinder as much as possible.

Although we would very much like the production of this model, the new Pionýr is just a vision of our editors realized through the skillful hands of our in-house designer Rostislav Prokop. So don’t call Jawa in Tynek, don’t call authorized dealers, the model will not be produced.

So we can only enjoy, dream and imagine what it would be like to saddle a traditional fichtl with modern shapes, technology and safety. To go back to childhood again, to start up and mindlessly speed the gun towards adventure…
