Hisense launched the new U8KL smart TV equipped with mmWave radar, to track the burning of calories while exercising in front of the TV.
The Chinese company explained that the new U8KL smart TV can track the user’s location and movement via mmWave radar, in order to protect the user’s privacy. Since video recordings cannot be made in living rooms.
Hisense confirmed that this radar provides the ability to adjust the sound and image according to the viewer’s seating position, in addition to the function of automatically pausing the running program when the viewer leaves the room, then continuing it again when the viewer returns to the room, in addition to dimming the TV image, when there is no One in the room to save energy.
The Chinese company is promoting the new smart TV by providing superior picture quality thanks to reliance on Mini LED backlight technology. The 65- and 75-inch models operate at a maximum brightness of up to 3000 nits, while the 85-inch model reaches 3300 nits.
Hisense confirmed that the new U8KL smart TV operates with 4K resolution, an image activation rate of 144 Hz, and a local dimming function in 1600 to 2400 lighting zones depending on the model size.
The technical equipment package includes many connection ports, including, for example, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a built-in audio system with an output capacity of 77 watts with support for Dolby Atmos technology.
