Introducing the Government Signature Platform: Enhancing Efficiency and Security in Digital Transactions for Federal Government Agencies

The Communications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority announced the launch of the “Government Signature Platform” initiative, which is specifically designed to manage and approve documents and correspondence directed to federal government agencies linked to the Federal Network (FedNet).

The authority stated in a statement yesterday that the new initiative includes an automated system to verify the authenticity of documents and approve them digitally through all stages of their transportation, starting from the sender until they reach their final destination.

Through this initiative, the Authority aims to raise government efficiency and activate the uses of digital identity and digital signature in digital transactions.

Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, Majid Sultan Al-Mesmar, said: “The (Government Signature Platform) initiative is a new addition to our integrated digital system that we are working to develop in line with the axes of the (We are the Emirates 2031) vision, foremost of which is the fourth axis, which stipulates To establish the most pioneering and superior system.”

He added: “This initiative is unique in its kind, and adds many advantages to the range of services provided by the Federal Network (FedNet), including high flexibility, speed of response, reduced costs, as well as its seamless integration with digital identity, as well as users’ confidence in what it will provide. Electronically signed services, given that all the digital tools included in this new service are completely hosted on the federal network’s servers.”

Al-Mismar added that the “Government Signature Platform” is also characterized by high reliability, as the stages signed with the digital signature in correspondence acquire full legal status, given that all operations of this service comply with the laws and regulations of relevant digital services.
