“Introducing the Aston Martin DB12: Successor to the DB11 with New Design and Powerful V8 Engine”

Aston Martin has introduced the successor of the DB11 coupe, the new DB12, which will go to customers in the fall of 2023.

The manufacturer claims that the DB12 is a completely new model, however, experts believe that it is a logical continuation of the DB11. The DB12, built on the platform of the eleventh model, really resembles the DB11 introduced in 2017, but stands out with new lights, new bumpers and a radiator grill that has become even bigger. The width of the sills also seems to have increased and not for nothing – 6 and 23 millimeters have been added to the DB12 “spur”, respectively, in the front and rear. “All-new model” does not match the rear, which is almost 1:1 transferred from the DB11.

The biggest changes are related to the engine – the V12 has been replaced by an engine developed on the basis of the Mercedes-AMG V8 unit, which develops 680 hp – 41 hp more than the old twelve-cylinder engine. The coupe reaches 100 km/h 0.4 seconds faster (in 3.5 seconds), while the maximum speed is 325 km/h.

The new suspension with adaptive dampers now offers an even more noticeable difference i between GT mode and the two dynamic settings Sport and Sport+, while the E-Diff electronic differential, used for the first time on the DB model, can switch from standard mode to 100 percent locking effect in a very short time. ESP has four levels of regulation, five settings for driving modes.

The cockpit is completely new. This includes a multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Online Update and a 12.5-inch touchscreen, a new three-spoke steering wheel with digital gauges behind it and – optional 15-speaker 1170-watt Bowers&Wilkins music. Also worth mentioning are stronger brakes with 400/360 mm brake discs front/rear, as well as Michelin 275/35 and 315/50 new generation tires (front/rear) with frame inserts made of noise-absorbing polyurethane foam and reduce rolling noise up to 20 percent.

Aston Martin DB12 will enter the market in the third quarter of 2023, prices have not yet been revealed.
