Introducing Tassei’s Impressive AMOLED Concept for the 3DS Platform: A Glimpse into the Future of Handheld Gaming

If you’ve been hoping that Nintendo would one day return to the 3DS platform, well boy, do we have some good news for you. Because a Japanese company has now created its own style on the 3DS platform, alongside some welcome and rather impressive improvements.

Essentially, Tassei has taken the 3DS platform and replaced its original display with a six-inch 1080p AMOLED panel that operates at up to 90Hz. This was at the Tokyo Game Show (thank you,Nintendo Life), unfortunately this unit is for testing and display purposes only and is not intended to actually play games or be sold as a consumer product. What we do know is that the system is powered by Ryzen CPUs.

It should be said that the device is not endorsed by Nintendo, so don’t expect to see a new Nintendo 3DS announcement anytime soon.
