Introducing Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, a new 5G chipset using 4nm architecture for a budget model.
Qualcomm has announced the chipset. Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 New (SM4635) officially unveiled at an event held in India. This chipset is not a successor to last year’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, but it is a budget 5G chipset made on a 4nm process and aimed at budget smartphones. Notably, the devices will be launched in India in the coming months.
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset has two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, with all eight cores clocked down by 200 MHz Compared to the cores SD 4 Gen 2, the new chip also comes with an unspecified Adreno GPU, slower LPDDR4x RAM, and still supports UFS 3.1 memory.
Qualcomm is also using a slower version of its 5G modem. It has a download speed of 1Gbps, supports up to FHD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, while image signal processing (ISP) supports a main camera sensor up to 84MP and also supports your Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity as well
Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch its first Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 phone at the end of this year.
