GameFreak introduces Poltchageist, a new Pokémon from The Turquoise Mask DLC in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple shaped like a matcha kettle.
The Pokémon Company today introduced a new Pokémon ninth generation. And he is very inspired by the matcha teaa typical Japanese tea that you will consume in the Noroteo region, outside of Paldea.
And it is that in both pokemon scarlet and purple expansion we are going to leave behind the region of Paldea, inspired by Spain. In the first part, The Turquoise Maskwe are going to the region of Noroteo, inspired by Japan.
There we will see Poltchageist, a plant and ghost type Pokémon shaped like a matcha jar, and quite mischievous… so much so that it has inspired a legend in Norotea.

If you mistakenly break a cup or glass, Poltchageist might show up and take it so hard that he’ll fix the broken… in exchange for draining your life force. That is why this Pokémon is so feared and in Norotea, never use matcha for fear of summoning it.
On September 13, in The Turquoise Mask, we will have the opportunity to face this mischievous Pokémon. It is certainly very similar to to believebut it is a totally different Pokémon, which usually lives in abandoned houses.
