The Japanese automaker presented the XFC study in October last year. The new compact SUV follows it with an almost identical body shape, the same proportions and the design of the headlights at both ends of the car.
The series version is, of course, more civil, it has traditional rear-view mirrors, normal handles or more ordinary wheels.
The SUV, whose name is still unknown, is 4,390 millimeters long, so it is the same length as “our” Škoda Karoq. The width is 1,810 mm, the height is 1,660 mm. The car stands on 18-inch wheels, and Mitsubishi boasts a very decent ground clearance of 222 millimeters.
As far as technology is concerned, the Japanese automaker revealed that the new model will be available with a 1.5-liter engine, a CVT transmission, and front-wheel drive only. We do not yet know the maximum power or the highest torque.
And we don’t even know what the interior looks like. But Mitsubishi will soon reveal the shape of the cabin, the details of the equipment and all the important numbers. The new SUV will be presented at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show, which begins in the Indonesian city of Tangerang on August 10 with a media day, and opens to the public a day later.

And that brings us to the problem mentioned at the beginning. So far, Mitsubishi mentions the markets of Southeast Asia in connection with the new product.
Whether this compact SUV will make it to Europe is downright uncertain.
