Chairman NCP Firli bahuri reveal the role of the Deputy Speaker of the DPR Azis Syamsuddin (AZ) as the party who introduced KPK investigator Stepanus Robin Pattuju (SRP) with Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial (MS). This is Azis Syamsuddin’s response.
“Bismillah, Al-Fatihah,” said Azis Syamsuddin when asked for confirmation, Friday (23/4/2021).
Unfortunately, Azis did not provide further explanation regarding his role which is said to introduce Stepanus with Syahrial.
As is known, Firli Bahuri revealed the role of Deputy Speaker of the DPR Azis Syamsuddin (AZ) in the vortex of the alleged bribery case of Tanjungbalai Mayor M Syahrial (MS) and KPK investigator Stepanus Robin Pattuju (SRP). Azis is the person who introduced M Syahrial to Stepanus.
Aziz’s role was revealed in the case construction of the alleged receipt of gifts or promises by the state organizers of the Tanjungbalai Mayor case. In October 2020, Azis brought the two suspects together.
“In October 2020, SRP held a meeting with MS at the AZ official residence, Deputy Chairman of the DPR in South Jakarta,” said Firli at the Red and White KPK building, South Jakarta, Thursday (22/4/2021).
At that time, Azis introduced Stepanus to M Syahrial. Azis also asked Stepanus to help M Syahrial.
“In the meeting, AZ introduced SRP to MS regarding the investigation into the alleged corruption in the Tanjungbalai City government which is being carried out by the KPK so that it does not go up to the investigation stage and asked SRP to help so that the investigation problem is not followed up by the KPK,” said Firli.
Following up on the meeting, the two suspects then made an agreement. In order to stop the investigation into the alleged corruption case in Tanjungbalai, M Syahrial prepared Rp. 1.5 billion for Stepanus.
“Following up the meeting at AZ’s house, then SRP was introduced to MS to be able to help the problem. SRP and MH agreed to make a commitment with MS regarding the investigation of alleged corruption in the Tanjungbalai City Government not to be followed up by the KPK by preparing Rp. 1.5 billion, “said Firli.
