The first laser TV with 8K resolution (7680×4320 pixels) is becoming Hisense 100LX, which was introduced in China. The laser TV is actually a special screen with a diagonal of 100″ (254cm) and an ultra-short-throw laser projector. The novelty supports 10-bit color processing (1.07 billion shades), covers 110% of the BT.2020 color space.

As for sound, there are 4 speakers and both Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X are supported. The TV system includes 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. In addition, LPU laser technology should bring lower consumption than classic 8K televisions, which may have a problem in the EU due to their high consumption. We don’t yet know the price or global availability (anyway, Hisense laser TVs are sold here, so it’s possible that they will appear here in time as well).
