Introducing Fuel Card 5.0: How Does It Work and Why You Need It in Batam City?

The Batam City Government is currently socializing or introducing the Fuel Card 5.0 control card which is used as a transaction tool to purchase Pertalite type fuel. The socially assigned card is mostly dark blue with a yellow stripe. So, how does it work?

Sumbagut Communication Relations & CSR Area Manager, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Susanto August Satria explained, this card is like e-money or e-tax. Later, the card must be added before buying fuel.

He said, to buy fuel later, just tap. Then, it is matched with the vehicle’s registration number.

“Later, the purchase will be at a gas station by tapping. You can ask for the card later. The reference is the same as the police number registered with the Department of Industry and Commerce and Regional Government Cooperatives,” he said.

He himself could no longer discuss the limits or allocation of Pertalite that could be purchased with this card. Also, when will the use of the card to purchase Pertalite be valid?

He said that the card usage policy is the policy of the Batam City government. “Just city policy as far as I know the city, because it is not in other areas, and this is the policy of the Batam City Government,” he said.
