Introducing EcoDasher Insole: Customizable Modular Shoe Insoles Made from Recycled Plastic and Algae

Your shoes have never been so comfortable. The innovative insoles can be customized to suit your lifestyle.

Startup FITPACE from Colorado (USA) introduced EcoDasher Insole are modular shoe insoles that can be customized before each outing.

The insoles consist of a white base that is made from recycled plastic and algae. The material feels similar to standard EVA foam, which is used in almost all running shoes. The authors of the project were inspired by a horse saddle to create the ergonomic shape of the insoles.

The main feature of EcoDasher Insole is two recesses that are located in the heel and metatarsus area. Special cartridges of different densities and elasticity can be inserted into these recesses. There are seven types of cartridges in total (3 for the heel and 4 for the metatarsus. Each cartridge differs in material and color. For example, green and blue are the softest, they are made from a special gel, white are harder.

According to the manufacturer, there are 20 combinations that should suit every person. So, you can adjust the insoles before a race, a long walk, work, or an evening out in heels.

The insoles are available in 5 colors and 10 sizes. They can be cut to fit your shoes perfectly. The set includes 14 cartridges (7 per pair). Price – 69 dollars (6400 rubles)as part of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter insoles sell for $39 for a couple. Full sales will start in April.
