Introducing Deadlock: Valve’s Thrilling New Shooter Combining MOBA and Third-Person Action with Massive Player Engagement

Came earlier this year the first information about Deadlocka new shooter from Valve. The game has not been officially released yet, but several thousand players have already been in and tested it.

according to SteamDB Deadlock peaked at 18,254 concurrent players on Monday. The basket goes up every day, and the losers can invite their friends to join the “Playtest” stage.

Based on reports from those who tried the game, it is a third-person shooter with MOBA elements. Sort of a combination of Valorant and Dota, apparently.

Two teams of five players compete in four different courses – or “lanes”. Here, computer-controlled “creeps” must be guided ever closer to the opposing team’s base, with larger boss enemies that must be defeated along the way.

Players can choose from several different characters, each of which has different abilities and attacks. These are upgraded along the way, and you can also buy new buildings for your character.

Even though the players are pouring in, Valve has not yet confirmed that the game actually exists. So it is also not clear what the developer’s plans are for the launch.
