Archaludon (ブリジュラス Burijurasu in Japanese) is a Steel/Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 9. It is the evolution of Duraludon.
Its name comes from the English word arch (‘arch’, but also ‘upper’) and Duraludon. Its Japanese name, Burijurasu, comes from the English words bridge (bridge) and saurus (saurus). Archaludon takes the form of a bridge when attacking.
When in trouble, Archaludon extends its curved torso, sacrificing some of its mobility for greater stability. While in this position, it resembles an imposing steel bridge. The ends of its legs accumulate static electricity with which it shoots a powerful beam full of electrical energy that would not otherwise be generated in its body. Archaludon can more easily build up static electricity during storms or other inclement weather, allowing it to fire lightning faster.
Starting in the ninth generation, Duraludon evolves into Archaludon through an unknown method.
