Japanese company Ainex introduced a switch that allows users to manually turn the computer on and off. While most PCs come with a button that can put an ATX-compatible computer to sleep, shutting down the PC still requires using a mouse or even looking for a button on the case under the table, which can be inconvenient, and Ainex’s invention will make the job a little more convenient.
Wired power button DTE-03 has a 2 meter cable. The mechanical switch provides a pleasant keystroke feel, similar to mechanical keyboards. The device must be connected to the corresponding socket on the motherboard, and then it can be used to turn it on and off. Since the connector is essentially a pass-through design, you can also use the power switch on the PC itself.
In addition, the DTE-03 button has a built-in blue backlight that can be activated by connecting it to the power jack on the motherboard so that it can be easily found in the dark.
One of the features of the DTE-03 is the built-in magnet at the bottom – it can be attached to any metal surface or magnetic surface. The package includes a metal plate with adhesive tape for installation on non-magnetic surfaces. The size of the device, excluding cable, is approximately 19 x 19 x 24 mm.
The price of Ainex DTE-03 is about $12.
