Introduces building ban overnight

Construction stop from Wednesday. That was the message to over 80,000 Oslo people from the Planning and Building Agency.

Yesterday, Wednesday, around 80,000 people received a digital notification from the Planning and Building State about severe building restrictions on their property.

On Wednesday, the proposal for a new and stricter single-family house plan was put out for public consultation. The plan includes approx. 29,000 properties in Oslo’s residential areas.

On the same day, a digital letter arrived at 80,000 recipients who own buildings or properties in these parts of the city – without warning. The message was that a “temporary ban on measures” would be introduced while the plan was being considered.
