The Intro Music Festival leaves an economic impact of approximately one million euros in the city of Valladolid and the hotels in the capital are full.
This was stated by the Councilor for Tourism, Events and City Brand, Blanca Jiménez, accompanied by the director Artisti-k Producciones, Jesús Marcos, and the director of Valladolid Indie, Roberto Gutiérrez.
The Intro Music Festival will be held on November 24 and 25 in pavilion 4 of the Valladolid Fair and in its seventh edition Arde Bogotá, Iván Ferreiro, Dorian, Second, Depedro, Delaporte, Siloñe, Nat Simons, Pandorado and Dridri will perform DJ, among others.
New this year, on the 24th there will be a welcome party at the ‘Desierto Rojo’ leisure establishment which, according to Roberto Gutiérrez, “allows us to increase the lineup a little and have three more artists.”
At this welcome event, Valladolid artists Augusta Sodora, a group that belongs to a “new generation of local artists”, and DJ David van Bylen will perform. On the other hand, the Leonese band Zabriskie will also perform.
On the 25th, Intro Music will open its doors at 12:00 p.m. and inside the pavilion there will be two stages; the ‘Vibra Mahou’ for the most recognized artists, and the ‘Cigales’ stage for performances by emerging musicians.
Likewise, within 48 hours of the tickets going on sale, up to 60 percent of them were sold and, in less than 1 month, they have managed to sell all of them. Thus, Blanca Jiménez has highlighted that this is a “very consolidated” event in the city’s musical scene and, furthermore, this “marks a milestone in the musical scene of Valladolid.”
On the other hand, the councilor has stated that 70 percent of the people who participate – 6,000 people in total – are people who come from outside the province of Valladolid, mostly from Madrid and the central-northern area of Spain. The other 30 percent of attendees are from Valladolid or Castilla y León.
“We have data that supports this festival as an event that is capable of attracting musical tourism, which is so interesting in the city of Valladolid, and we believe that one more year Intro Music will be able to consolidate itself in our city,” concluded the mayor. .
For his part, Jesús Marcos explained that this is a “very important” event that closes the circle of festivals because “it is the last festival of the year”; In addition, he has considered that it is in a “strategic” point on the peninsula that makes it “attractive for people to come from outside.”
“The economic impact on the city is very important, we believe it is over a million euros on that weekend and it has a hotel occupancy that is bordering on full, with the restaurants also full and with a lot of companies involved in the festival “said the director Artisti-k Producciones.
