Intrigue between ‘We Continue the Change’ and Interior Minister Raises Concerns

“I am afraid that there is some kind of intrigue between “We continue the change” and the interior minister – journalists asked him if he was under pressure and he did not deny it. This worried me greatly.”

GERB-SDS MP Tomislav Donchev commented this to BNT.

He stated that the only minister of the GERB in the cabinet is Maria Gabriel, and all the others were broadcast by their “non-coalition partners”

“If Mr. Petkov wants the resignation of the interior minister, he should tell Denkov, who is the prime minister, nominated by their party, to start a procedure and submit it to the parliament.”

Donchev does not see a connection between the disturbances in Sofia, the political upheavals and the rewriting of the budget.

“We expressed criticism about the budget a week ago – not politically, but with numbers, because this budget is both idealess and largely adventurous”.

“We provide support because the other alternative is not better, and they fight with us – I don’t understand that,” he commented on the tension in the non-coalition. He pointed out that he himself is not satisfied with the work of the government, but he has the right to claim because he supports it.

The derogation for Russian oil was supposed to expire in 2024 anyway, but in every way it seems that the PP is defending the interest of Lukoil rather than that of the Bulgarian consumer, the MP believes.

“The refinery uses the cheap Russian Ural oil, and the prices at the gas stations are the same as if we use Brent. This is not the only question. Is there re-export and where is this re-export for?”

GERB’s claims are related to quality, not to someone being removed and another being placed in an institution or ministerial chair.
