Into the future with the cleanroom – review Cleanzone 2024

Two days full of lectures, discussions, exciting innovations and intensive know-how transfer showed once again: Cleanrooms help save lives, ensure the nutrition of the future, provide energy – and they create the basis for future research. Clean room technology is used, among other things, in medical technology, pharmaceuticals, food technology and battery production.

Cleanzone 2024 was the focus of professional exchange. The international trade fair for cleanroom and purity technology, hygiene and contamination control was characterized by the high level of innovation of the exhibiting companies as well as a first-class supporting program.

“Clean rooms will become more and more important in the coming years. They are needed in almost every conceivable industry. This is what the participants at this year’s Cleanzone showed,” summarizes Wolfgang Marzin, CEO of Messe Frankfurt. “We discussed and exchanged know-how here and saw great presentations and innovations. This industry is truly impressive.”

The exhibition companies showed products and solutions from the fields of clean room planning, technology and furnishings, textiles, hygiene, consumables and training. A total of 77 exhibitors from 16 countries presented their innovations, including seven start-ups.

At around 40 conference and exhibitor lectures as well as master classes, experts shared their expertise on topics such as contamination control, cleaning, standards, energy management, robotics and project management.

Cleanzone Award 2024

Groundbreaking solutions for clean rooms are honored with the Cleanzone Award at every Cleanzone. This year, the prize, worth EUR 3,000 and awarded jointly with the Wiley publishing house, went to the ReBa² test method for cleanroom clothing from Dastex and DITF (German Institute for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf). 14 companies had previously submitted their innovations, six of which were nominated for the award. The winner was chosen by the trade fair audience.

Visitors are highly willing to invest

The industry is growing; the order situation is good. This is also reflected in the willingness of visitors to invest: 43% are planning to invest in cleanroom technology (2022: 41%). 69% of all trade fair visitors were at Cleanzone for the first time.

The trade fair also scored points for its internationality (40%) and had visitors from Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Switzerland, Ireland, Great Britain, Austria, the Czech Republic, Jordan, Taiwan, Poland and Malaysia, among others.
