Many stories were told by Salma Hayek after joining the film Magic Mike’s Last Dance with Channing Tatum. One of the things he remembers the most is the intimate scene with the lap dance that made the audience feel emotional watching it.
In his interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! Salma said that the situation on the shooting location was not as beautiful as what the audience witnessed. He admitted that it was very difficult when doing the scene directed by Steven Soderbergh.
“You know, there’s one part that wasn’t included where I was upside down (head down) and my feet had to be pointing the other way. But (when) upside down, you have a hard time figuring out the direction and I didn’t do what I was supposed to do (in the script) ), so while doing practice, I was in a position where my head was down and almost hit my head,” he said.
Apart from that, there was also a scene which he thought was very funny, when he had a scene with Channing Tatum where at that time his pants were a little loose and sagged. He struggled to hold down his pants because he forgot whether he was wearing underwear or not.
“(Tatum) was holding my pants, but I was really worried because my pants were sagging and I can’t remember if I was wearing panties or not. So instead of putting my hand over my head, I just grabbed my pants. He was like, ‘Put your hand over ( head),’ and I said, ‘No, no, no.'”
After the incident the entire crew and Tatum scolded him. But Salma Hayek actually fought back by snapping at her when the scene almost killed her.
The teaser trailer shows an intimate scene between Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum. The romance started when the two met at a cocktail party, where Channing was the bartender. The two of them talked and Channing Tatum’s character admitted that he was not just a bartender until they finally moved into a room.
The actor seemed to be dancing, while Salma Hayek sat in a chair and ended up in bed. In one of the dance moves, Channing Tatum lifted him up so that his body was upside down.
In another interview, Salma Hayek explained this scene. According to him, it was really difficult and drained his stamina.
“It was so physically challenging. Oh my God. You have to wait and see, it’s really complicated,” he said.
Channing also admitted that the scenes that were carried out by the two of them were really crazy and the amazing things he had done in the film.
“Me and Salma do a crazy dance that opens the film,” he said.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance has been airing since February 10 2023 and stars Caitlin Gerrard, Olivia Munn, Matthew McConaughey to Alex Pettyfer. Unfortunately the film failed in the market and was only able to earn an income of 48 million USD, while the production cost reached 45 million USD.
