Interview with Singer Dai Liang 戴 亮 Dantès

1- Hello Dantès, let’s start with the most important question: Is the year of the ox going to be a good year?

I don’t know, the years are more or less good depending on what you do with them and personal efforts, even during the worst. For me, this year is going very well.

2- How did the year 2020 go for you?

A different year. It was the first time that I stayed more than 3 months in a row in France since 2003. Overall it went very well, lots of music and projects.

3- What are your successes since you moved to France?

Among other things, large French media were interested in my career in China, I released the album Douce Chine, I set up my DAILIANG musical edition, and I signed with a Parisian press officer for my next two securities Peaks and I am here. The projects in China continue especially with my duo Eva & Dantes and the distribution of my albums and my music videos.

4- What are your new projects?

Developed the title Des cimes in France and its Chinese version Shan de Liwu in China. We are targeting the big French radios, so that my music in France echoes the success in China

5- What is your vision on the economy of China

It’s a different approach from what we know in France. In the music business, France is very strong in protecting its artists by paying for pure lives. In China, you have to get sponsors, brands that pay for the service. Two systems, each with their strengths. I still think that in music business France is doing better, because the damage in China on creation and on the minds of musicians is important.

China is true to itself, remaining apparently positive and motivated by many projects that boost the economy. This is the case in cultural events.

6- What are the main trends for artists who are in China?

Find sponsors for the lives, even more than before. A big market for muses and brand promotion.

7- Which Chinese social networks are the most receptive to your songs or publications?

Weibo and Wechat remain for me safe values to communicate all my news and unite an audience that knows exactly what I’m doing.
