British journalist Piers Morgan has revealed that his interview with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will make headlines after the latter spoke about matters relating to Lionel Messi, the Argentine legend and his eternal rival.
The ‘Pierce Uncensored’ program has begun running parts of a lengthy interview conducted by the Englishman with the Portuguese star, in which the latter revealed his dissatisfaction with the work management of his current club Manchester United, as well as his lack of respect for his Dutch coach Ten Hag and his response to his criticisms from his former colleagues, such as Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney.
On Wednesday, Piers Morgan posted a tweet through his official Twitter account, in which he confirmed that Ronaldo had mentioned Messi’s name in the emotional encounter.
The full interview will be published in two lengthy parts on Wednesday and Thursday, after excerpts from it were published over the past three days, which included talk about Manchester United and their management, plus Ralph Rangnick, Ten Hag and the ex of Ronaldo colleagues, concluding with his suffering after the death of his son last season.
The two stars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, have enjoyed fierce competition in football since 2008, when the Portuguese crowned his first Ballon d’Or before moving to Barcelona rivals Real Madrid, and both have hogged the first prize for 10 years.
