In addition to being an acclaimed actress, Priyanka Chopra is now trying her luck in the beauty industry. What she values in everyday life, which products are her absolute must-haves and when she felt most beautiful on the red carpet, she reveals in the big GALA interview.
While London shows off its clichéd wet side, Priyanka Chopra waits for a marathon of interviews on the sixth floor of a luxury hotel. Dark furniture, a golden elevator, an excited atmosphere – the presence of a Hollywood star is almost palpable. Even after multiple dates, Priyanka is still in a good mood and excited to talk about her new limited-edition makeup collection with Max Factor.
Priyanka Chopra gives private beauty insights
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of those women who takes up space. Her smile and looks dominate the room without being intrusive. For the GALA interview, the Hollywood great appears in white and delicate rosé nuances in her make-up, ready to reveal her private beauty secrets.
GALA: Which products do you swear by in your daily beauty routine?
Priyanka Chopra: I always keep a lipstick in my bag. A pop of color to wear as a pop of color or all over the lip for full effect. A lipstick can also be used for the cheeks or as an eye shadow, so I like to have a multipurpose lipstick in my bag. I always have a lip balm with me. In my beauty collection, we added avocado and coconut oil to the lipsticks. When you wear them, you wear both in one. And then another mascara. Mascara was one of the first makeup products I used.

And what products do you use to feel good on a gray or rainy day?
A red lipstick! If you feel sad, tired or something like that, I always wear red lipstick. It’s a great face pick-me-up and mostly improves my mood.
You work with many professional make-up artists. What was the best beauty tip you’ve ever received?
That you can work with the best make-up artists, but good skin is the best basis for any make-up and that you should concentrate on skin care. I have a crazy intense life and I’m always on the go which leads to jet lag, so you have to be proactive about taking care of your skin. I drink tons of water. I try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Which may mean I don’t have time to date. This is important, as is removing makeup at the end of the day. No matter how tired I am, I take 10 minutes to make sure I cleanse my skin and apply my oil serum and moisturizer. And if I’m not too tired, I also use eye cream and lotion on my hands and feet.
Only in the evening or does the morning routine look similar?
During the day it’s a little faster. I shower and go outside. I don’t use soap on my face in the morning because I have dry skin and use a cleanser or toner when needed. In the morning I just add sunscreen.

You are a welcome guest on red carpets. What has been your favorite beauty look on the red carpet so far?
I had a few favourites. I recently wore a yellow Nicolas Jebran dress to the Red Sea Film Festival. It was a beautiful dress, with that dramatic coat, and the hair and makeup – everything just worked so well.

I love the look at my first Emmys. I wore a red Jason Wu dress and was very happy that day. I spun around on the carpet and laughed with my friends and it shows on my face.

And then there was this beautiful black Ritu Kumar saree that I wore to the Marrakech Film Festival. That was wonderful.

The next year will be important for Priyanka Chopra Jonas
While the corona pandemic meant professional or financial losses for many, Priyanka was able to land many new jobs due to the high demand for entertainment. She has several projects planned for the near future, both behind the camera as a producer and before that as an actress. “Citadel”, her series for Amazon and her new film “Love Again” will be released for the year 2023 – both pandemic projects.
But cool modeling jobs are also waiting for the 40-year-old Hollywood great in 2023: she can grace the cover of the February issue of British Vogue. A very special shoot as her daughter Malti Marie is also in front of the camera with her. The cute mother-daughter picture didn’t make it onto the cover, but fans can marvel at the picture in the magazine.

A rarity, because she doesn’t like to share her private life with the public. In the interview, she explains herself as follows: “I’ve developed a thick skin when people talk about me, but it’s so painful when they talk about my daughter. I really protected this chapter of my life. It’s not just about my life It’s hers too.” So it’s all the nicer that she’s now letting her fans share in her family happiness a little more.
