Could she live alone in such a settlement? “For now, the city is holding us back. I’m not much of a community person myself. My ideal is a secluded cottage in the mountains and a cottage with a neighbor somewhere in the distance, in case the eggs run out.” And how does she collaborate with screenwriter Radek Bajgar on the series? “He praises, and that’s very important. I don’t feel pressure from him, which is great.’
I was surprised by the love I felt for my daughter
Shortly after giving birth, she filmed the film Aristocrat II. “I’m a new character there. I had regrets that I was going to shoot so soon, that I was leaving Jasmínka, she was about four months old.” And how did she come up with the name Jasmína? “I like the fact that there is flower and brightness in the name Jasmína. Colleagues from Osada, however, did not like the last name Vápeníková.
The daughter has another name – Rikka. “If he moves in the art industry, he can use Jasmína Rikka as his stage name. But grandma calls her Mino. I was surprised by the feeling. I’ve never felt such love for anyone, it’s a huge gift.”
The boys from Ztohoven were hiding the Vojna group
One day, Petra Nesvačilová wants to make a feature film, so far she has made documentaries. The last one is called Vojna Ztohoven. It is a time-lapse documentary about the Czech art group Ztohoven and the Russian Army in the course of two years after the event of hanging giant red underpants at Prague Castle.
“War was wanted by Interpol and they were hiding with the Zhovoven group. The boys carried their diapers, a stroller, and on top of that they got sued for their underpants. Then there was a big shock, they started expanding, then the main activist Vojna got scared and talked about Czechs as prostitutes. There’s a really big difference between the West and the East, and it’s named in that movie.”
